The main event of Bellator 150 went up in smoke this morning. Bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao was removed from his title rematch with Eduardo Dantas due to an illness, and Dantas has been removed from the card as well.
Cheick Kongo vs. Vinicius Queiroz is the new headliner.
Galvao (17-6-1, 7-3 Bellator) won the title when he submitted Joe Warren with a kneebar back in March of last year. He had previously challenged Dantas (17-4, 7-2 Bellator) for the title back in 2013, but was knocked out in the second round. Dantas, who dropped the title to Warren in late 2014, hasn't fought since a May 2015 decision win over Mike Richman.
Bellator's statement doesn't indicate what the illness is, but said that Dantas will be paid his show money for the card. The bout will be re-booked for a future card.
Bellator 150 goes down in Mulvane, KS tomorrow night and the main card will air live on Spike TV.
