Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping seem to be having fun in the lead up to their fight at UFC Fight Night 84 next week. The two middleweights playfully traded verbal barbs at a recent media scrum, and Bisping also poked fun at the Brazilian's failed drug tests in an Instagram post.
"The Spider", who reigned as the UFC's middleweight champion for 7 years, fired back at Bisping on social media yesterday (h/t Jesse Holland of MMA Mania).
"The Count" accidentally kicked pad holder and striking coach Jason Parillo in the face during a workout. Silva edited a clip of his own pad workout to show Bisping how it's done.
Michael Bisping last fought in July where he edged out Thales Leites in a split decision. The 36-year-old has 24 fights in the UFC but has never fought for a title.
Silva was suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for one year after testing positive for steroids at UFC 183. His win over Nick Diaz was overturned to a No Contest and the former 185-pound champion faced a $380,000 fine. Silva has served his ban and will face Bisping in the main event of UFC Fight Night 84 at the o2 Arena in London, England on February 27th.
