A pair of heavyweight veterans will make their way to The Netherlands, as Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva has accepted to take on Stefan Struve in Rotterdam on May 8th, as Combate reported.
The 36-year old Silva (19-8-1 NC) has been going through a rough patch lately, with only one win in his last six fights. "Bigfoot" managed to KO Soa Palelei last August to snap a two-fight losing skid vs. Andrei Arlovski and Frank Mir, but was knocked out in the first round in his rematch against Mark Hunt last November. Seven of Silva's eight losses have come by way of knockout.
Also trying to get back in the win column, Struve (26-8) lost a unanimous decision to Jared Rosholt last November. Before that, "The Skyscraper" defeated Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 190 to end a two-fight losing skid against Alistair Overeem and Mark Hunt. Six of Struve's eight losses also have come by way of knockout.
The UFC Fight Night 87 main event will feature fellow heavyweight Alistair Overeem, who does not have an opponent yet. Fox Sports 1 is expected to televise the night's main card.
