The end is here! The end of the year, that is. For the last decade, the UFC has borrowed from the old PRIDE tradition of holding a year-end card, and 2016 is no different. The promotion’s annual offering this time around has a pair of title bouts in the main and co-main events, featuring the return of former women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey in her challenge for the title against Amanda Nunes and No.5 ranked bantamweight contender, Cody Garbrandt will challenge Dominick Cruz for his belt, as well.
Talk about a gangbusters pair of events! There’s also eight more great fights on this card, so get yourself ready for an exciting Friday night. Bloody Elbow content partner, Thomas J. Toehold, Esquire has dropped in with his latest bottom to top prediction video, as has become his custom. Here’s a snippet of one of his predictions:
“Up next is TJ Dillashaw, and boy is this guy a beast. He lands the most significant strikes per minute on the entire card at 5.4. He has the best takedown defense percentage on the entire card. He's as fast as lightning. He beats Lineker any way you look at this one. Six UFC finishes for Dillashaw, will almost certainly mean fireworks Friday night.”
