UFC 206 is in the books and the main event delivered the goods as Max Holloway won the UFC interim featherweight title by becoming the first man to stop Anthony Pettis. Max Holloway patiently waited for his moment to let loose, and when the opportunity arose, Holloway dug deep and let his hands fly.

Round 3 - It sounds like Pettis has a broken right hand based on what he told his corner. He comes out throwing low kicks and front kicks. Holloway comes back with a straight left. Holloway inside with a nice right, but he lands a knee to the cup. Let's get to the Cornuts Cam....and yup. Knee to the junk. Pettis with a head kick on the restart and Holloway staggers a bit. Holloway presses forward with a combination. They clinch up. Hard elbow on the break from Max. Hard, digging right hook to the body from Holloway. Holloway with a sweep and dumps Pettis to the ground. He let him up though. Straight right and a knee as he steps into the clinch for Holloway. Two short elbows for the Hawaiian, and he circles out. Holloway digs to the body, Pettis fires back with a body kick. Pettis jabbing and it's working. Holloway is bothered by them. Holloway with a body kick. Right the head, left to the body for Holloway. Holloway with a beautiful trip and he jumps into side control. He gave up the position and let him up though. Spinning back kick to the gut from Holloway. Hard shots to the body and Pettis is in trouble! Holloway all over him! Pettis crumples after a right hook landed to the temple and the ref stops it! Max Holloway is a champion!
