Dos Santos politely calls out Miocic for Brooklyn fight

Junior dos Santos wants a rematch with Stipe Miocic, so he politely asked for it on Twitter.

Back in late 2014, Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic engaged in one of the better fights of the year. Dos Santos was able to pull out a close decision victory. Since then, Miocic has gone onto much greater heights, as he is the current UFC heavyweight champion. Dos Santos does hold a win over the champ, so naturally he wouldn’t mind another shot at the belt he used to hold.

But it is Junior dos Santos, so you know he’s going to ask nicely.

JDS took to Twitter to wish Miocic a happy holidays, and threw in a suggestion about a location they could fight as well:

The card he’s referring to is UFC 209, which goes down in Barclays Center in Brooklyn on February 17th. You’d think UFC 209 would be in Stockton, but I digress.

Dos Santos (18-4, 12-3) is coming off a dominant decision win over Ben Rothwell in April. He has been out with injuries since. Miocic (16-2, 10-2 UFC) successfully defended his title for the first time when he knocked out Alistair Overeem in his home town in September.

Is JDS the guy who should get the next title shot? Or should it go to the winner of the Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum matchup in December?
