Conor McGregor is on top of the world right now. He was able to make UFC history by becoming its first simultaneous two-weight world champion by stopping Eddie Alvarez in the second round of their UFC 205 bout almost two weeks ago.

Quite expectedly, “The Notorious” was in full form after his win, demanding for a stake in the company. His post-fight demeanor apparently did not sit too well with newly retired UFC veteran Dan Henderson.

As of the moment, two of the names that are being billed to challenge McGregor’s 155-pound title are top contenders Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The latter is also fresh off a big win at UFC 205, forcing Michael Johnson to submission in the third round of their preliminary fight.

Many believe that McGregor would be put in a compromising position if he does face “The Eagle.” Henderson also agrees, as he even feels it would be a one-sided affair in favor of Nurmagomedov.

"I think that kid that fought last weekend, I have trouble with his name, Magomedov, the Russian kid, that's at 155 -- I think he would definitely give Conor a huge problem. I think he definitely would take him down and beat the piss out of him," Henderson said on the Adam Carolla show on Friday (via MMA Fighting).

Henderson clarified that he has nothing against McGregor, but as far as the Alvarez fight went, he believes the former champion did not employ an effective game plan, which ultimately led to his downfall.

"I don't dislike him. I think it took me a while to kinda get onboard with him, just to see a little bit more well-roundedness,” Henderson said. “He's always shown that he's got good hands, good kicks, but to see him against a couple different wrestlers that had good hands, it took me awhile to get onboard with him.”

“I think Eddie just did not fight a smart fight whatsoever. He didn't use his wrestling whatsoever."
