UFC Sao Paulo results and video: Ryan Bader brutalizes Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

Check out the result of the UFC Fight Night 100 main event between Ryan Bader and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Ryan Bader absolutely mauled Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. It was a rematch from their 2010 bout, which “Darth” won via decision. This time, though, Bader got the job done inside the distance. Bader vs. Nogueira served as the main event of UFC Fight Night 100, which took place live from Sao Paulo, Brazil on Saturday evening.

It wasn’t long until Bader scored the first takedown of the fight in the first round. Nogueira actually landed a few solid strikes, which caused Bader to go for the takedown, which he completed rather easily.

From there, it was all Bader from there. He battered the Brazilian legend for the rest of the first round, the second round, and the first half of the third round — all on the ground. He scored several takedowns throughout 13 minutes, and landed vicious ground-and-pound. Nogueira never got going, and the punishment he endured tired him, as well.

Bader landed a barrage of strikes in the second half of the third round, and enough was enough.

Official Result: Ryan Bader def. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira via TKO (Strikes) at 3:51 of Round 3

With the win over Nogueira, Bader is back in the title picture in the light heavyweight division. However, the fight was the last on the veteran’s current UFC contract, so he’s now a free agent. Of course, free agency has treated some fighters better than others, so we’ll have to wait and see what type of leverage Bader has in free agency.
