After an event which saw lots of actions in the prelims, and a trio of dull decisions in the UFC Fight Night 99 main card, Gegard Mousasi finally got his opportunity to avenge his shock TKO loss to Uriah Hall.
Gegard Mousasi def. Uriah Hall by TKO (punches) Round 1 (4:31).
The fight opened at a patient pace with both men looking to measure their shots. Mousasi scored early with a straight jab that snapped Hall’s head back. Hall let loose with a handful of his famous spinning kicks, one of which grazed the chin of Mousasi. In the last minute of the round Mousasi muscled Hall to the ground. Once there Mousasi pounded hall with right hands until the referee waved off the contest.
Mousasi has now won 4 straight since his loss to Hall in 2015, while Hall has now dropped 3 straight, including back-to-back 1st round TKO losses.
