Honestly, of all the main events this week, Bellator 165’s may be the most notable - there’s certainly an argument to be made for it if nothing else. Reigning lightweight champion Michael Chandler returns to take on former UFC lightweight title holder Benson Henderson. Henderson is fresh off an injury TKO win over Patricio Freire at Bellator 160, having moved back down from welterweight after a disastrous entry into the promotion against Andrey Koreshkov. Also on the main card, Michael Page returns for a twice cancelled, finally realized bout against longtime vet Fernando Gonzalez. Throw in Linton Vassell vs. Francis Carmont, and some Baby Slice, and it’s not a bad Friday Saturday night of fights.
