UFC 191 Reebok payouts: 7 of 22 fighters pass $5,000 mark

With UFC 191 in the books is time to take a look at all the numbers from the event. Principal among them are the sponsor pay numbers from the UFC's Reebok deal, which saw a few fighters net an extra $10k+.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Now that Reebok is the only show in UFC town (or close to it), guessing who's getting what for sponsorship pay is something of a thing of the past. No doubt fighters still get a bit hear and there from long time brands that are working with them outside the Octagon,  but in general, a lot of the guess work has been taken out of it. After every event the fighters are cut a check from Reebok for their participation based on the number of Zuffa fights they've had over their career.

So, with that in mind, here's A SIMPLE DISCLAIMER: These are not salary numbers, those will be released separately. These numbers do not reflect any non-Reebok sponsorships fighters may have, they do not represent locker room bonuses, taxes, or anything else. These are just the simple numbers as set by the UFC's tenure-based tier system. Fighters in their first 1-5 bouts get $2,500; from 6-10 they get $5,000; from 11-15 they get $10,000, from 16-20 they get $15,000; everything above 20 gets $20,000. Champions earn $40,000 and challengers get $30,000.

Demetrious Johnson: $40,000

John Dodson: $30,000
