The UFC 191 co-main event featured a heavyweight contest between former champion Andrei Arlovski and Frank Mir.
Check out the play-by-play for the third round below:
R3: They both collide with punches and stalemate in the clinch before being separated. Mir tries to duck under an Arlovski combo but he can't get the takedown, and Arlovski puts him on the fence. The crowd boos at the lack of action. Short horizontal elbow lands for Arlovski. Mir grazes with two knees to the body and they're split up again.
Mir steps in with a hard right hand and it causes Arlovski to lose his balance. Mir pounces with three big lefts but over-commits on a kimura attempt, leaving Arlovski space to escape. Arlovski puts Mir on the cage but Mir gets the body lock and circles off. Arlovski counters and they stalemate in the 50/50 clinch until they're separated. Arlovski lands a straight left, then a short left hook in the following combo. Outside low kick for Arlovski. They clinch and Mir's left eye is bleeding somewhat profusely. Mir lands a step-in knee to the body but eats another hard counter. 10-9 Arlovski. I have it 30-27 his way.
Andrei Arlovski defeats Frank Mir by unanimous decision (29-28 x2, 30-27)
