The UFC 191 main event featured a flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and title challenger John Dodson. It was a rematch of their previous encounter and ended with a similar result.
Check out the play-by-play below:
R5: Dodson lands a body kick and he'll need a lot more to rebound. Johnson lands another lead right. Jab downstairs from the champ, who forces a clinch and lands a knee to the body. Johnson gets deep on a double leg and hoists Dodson off the canvas before planting him on his back. Dodson, ever slippery, takes a knee and gets back to his feet. Johnson's right hand once again meets Dodson's mouth. And again.
The champ continues to whittle down the challenger with a methodical, relentless and multifarious attack. Johnson lands another double leg and Dodson bounces right back to his feet. Dodson's nose and right eye are ballooned from the nonstop hum-drum of right hands. Dodson glances with a left hand and lands a sharp knee to the body, then circles off the fence. Knee downstairs from the champ. 10-9 Johnson. I have it 49-46 his way.
Demetrious Johnson defeats John Dodson by unanimous decision (49-46 x2, 50-45)
