Video: Frank Shamrock would only come back to fight Dana White or Donald Trump

New, comments

Despite Bellator trying to convince Frank Shamrock to come out of retirement, the former UFC champ says he would only do so against Dana White or Donald Trump.

Bellator tried to convince Frank Shamrock to come out of retirement for the Dynamite card this past weekend. It obviously didn't push through, but Scott Coker did reveal that negotiations happened with the former UFC champ for a rematch against.

"The original fight that we wanted (Tito Ortiz) to have here (at Dynamite) was against Frank Shamrock," Scott Coker said on Saturday night. "That would've been an amazing fight here, but he chose to fight Liam"

Shamrock was instead a guest during the event, and he made it clear that he has no plans of returning to active competition.

"No," Frank said, when asked if he would fight Tito Ortiz again. "I was offered, and we had something going on, but that moment has passed."

"Only Dana White or Donald Trump," he said about the only opponents that would make him return. "Anybody else, I'm good."

The former light heavyweight champion is now 42-years-old, and has been retired for over 5 years. He started his career back in 1994 and compiled a 23-10-2 record that saw him defeat the likes of Tito Ortiz, Cesar Gracie, Enson Inoue, and Bas Rutten.
