Clay Guida takes on Thiago Tavares at UFC Fight Night 77 in Sao Paulo

UFC veterans Clay Guida and Thiago Tavares will look to get a much needed win in Brazilian territory on November 7.

Two UFC veterans will clash as Clay Guida has been scheduled to take on Thiago Tavares in enemy territory, the city of Sao Paulo, as it was reported by Combate. UFC officials have since confirmed that the bout, which will be Guida's first ever fight in Brazil.

A member of the UFC roster since 2006, Guida dropped to the featherweight division in 2013, but still hasn't managed to put together two wins in a row in the weight class. Most recently, he defeated Robbie Peralta by unanimous decision after being submitted to Dennis Bermudez. He also holds wins over Tatsuya Kawajiri and Hatsu Hioki, sandwiching between a TKO loss to Chad Mendes.

Having joined the UFC only one year after Guida, Tavares has also dropped to 145, debuting with a first-round rear naked choke victory over Robbie Peralta, which was followed by a "Fight of The Night" TKO loss to Brian Ortega last June.

Clay Guida and Thiago Tavares will meet at UFC Fight Night 77 in Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 7.  The card will be headlined by the rubber match between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson. Also slated for the card is a featherweight contest between Chas Skelly and Kevin Souza.
