UFC fighter rankings: Patrick Cummins earns spot in LHW top 10

Patrick Cummins is a top 10 light heavyweight in the UFC following a dominant win over Rafael Cavalcante at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

There were several ranked fighters competing at UFC 190 in Brazil over the weekend, but there were surprisingly few changes of note in the latest rankings update. The biggest one was definitely Patrick Cummins going into the top 10 at light heavyweight following his big win over Rafael Cavalcante, followed by Jessica Aguilar improving her rankings position despite a wide decision loss to Claudia Gadelha.

The full UFC rankings can be found here. Bloody Elbow isn't part of the rankings panel anymore, otherwise Tim Burke would have Kawajiri #1 in every weight class.

Pound-for-Pound: Daniel Cormier goes above Cain Velasquez for 9th, while Anderson Silva takes 11th ahead of Anthony Pettis.

Women's Strawweight: Aguilar may have lost her debut but she climbed four spots to 11th. Felice Herrig, Juliana Lima, Aisling Daly, and Heather Clark all moved down one notch, as a result.

Flyweight: John Lineker is now tied with Kyoji Horiguchi for 7th again because ... I don't know.

Bantamweight: Aljamain Sterling is ranked below Bryan Caraway at 7th. Thomas Almeida rounds out the top 10 at the expense of Eddie Wineland.

Women's Bantamweight: Sarah Kaufman climbs two spots to 5th, Amanda Nunes rises to 7th before her fight this weekend against Sara McMann, and Bethe Correia tumbles to 8th.

Featherweight: Tatsuya Kawajiri moves into a tie for 12th alongside Hacran Dias.

Lightweight: Edson Barboza had his ranking upped to 6th, dropping Ben Henderson to 7th. Dustin Poirier rose two notches to 13th, while Beneil Dariush enters his fight with Michael Johnson at 12th.

Welterweight: Neil Magny falls to 14th behind Thiago Alves, while Ryan LaFlare again replaces Kelvin Gastelum at 15th.

Middleweight: No changes

Light Heavyweight: Patrick Cummins swaps places with Rafael Cavalcante, rising 4 spots up to 10th.

Heavyweight: Wins for Antonio Silva and Stefan Struve improved their respective positions in the top 15. Silva is now 11th above Roy Nelson, and Struve takes 14th spot ahead of Oleksiy Oliynyk.
