While it has been a quiet week in the world of Mixed Martial Arts, it has been all go in the sport of submission grappling. On Saturday night, the Eddie Bravo Invitational put on an exciting show at The Orpheum Theatre in LA, while on Friday, Metamoris debuted its new pay-per-view series, "The Underground."
The Underground featured a nice mix of MMA and elite-level submission grapplers who were eager to put on a good show. In the co-main event, current UFC standout, Pedro Munhoz faced his former RFA foe, Jeff Curran, in a back-and-forth match that went the distance. As per the Metamoris ruleset, this match was declared a draw.
The main event pitted World No-Gi champion, AJ Agazarm, against UFC fan-favorite, Karo Parisyan. Parisyan, a noted judoka who most notably won a silver medal at the Pan American games, managed to go the distance with Agazarm who is known for his offensive submission skills.
