UFC 194 betting odds: Conor McGregor opens almost as two-to-one favorite over Jose Aldo

Featherweight champion Jose Aldo might be the ruler of the UFC's pound-for-pound rankings, but oddsmakers have him as a big underdog against Conor McGregor.

Jason Silva-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday it was announced that UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and interim titleholder Conor McGregor will finally meet at UFC 194 on December 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to unify their belts. Now, the official betting odds for the mega fight have been released by online sports-betting service Bovada. And Aldo, first and only UFC featherweight champion and unbeaten in his last 18 fights, opens up as the heavy underdog. In fact, McGregor is almost a two-to-one favorite over the tough Brazilian.

Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo

Conor McGregor -190 (10/19)

Jose Aldo +155 (31/20)

Aldo and McGregor were originally scheduled to face each other at UFC 189 on July 11, but Aldo pulled out with a broken rib, only two weeks before the bout. McGregor went on to fight replacement opponent Chad Mendes for the interim title and won by TKO in the second round. Aldo also faced Mendes in his last title defense and won via unanimous decision. Aldo and McGregor went through an unprecedented media tour to promote their July bout, making this one of the most anticipated fights in UFC history.
