UFC on FOX 16: Dillashaw vs. Barao 2 live results and play-by-play for preliminary card

New, comments

Bloody Elbow will provide live updates and analysis for the UFC on FOX 16 preliminary card. In the featured prelim, Long Island's Gian Villante battles TUF 8's Tom Lawlor in a light-heavyweight bout.

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting

The UFC returns to Chicago for a highly intriguing evening of fights from the United Center, where T.J. Dillashaw seeks to defend his bantamweight crown against the very man he took it from last year, Brazil's Renan Barao. In the co-main event, Miesha Tate battles Jessica Eye for the #1 contender spot at women's bantamweight.

This post will cover the preliminary card, which is eight fights deep this time around. Making his return to the Octagon after 2 years, Tom Lawlor moves up to light heavyweight to face Gian Villante in the feature prelim bout. Also on the card are veterans Jim Miller and Danny Castillo, Ben Saunders and Kenny Robertson, and bantamweight contenders Bryan Caraway and Eddie Wineland.
