While the TUF 21 Finale was never supposed to amount to the spectacle that was UFC 189, the event actually produced a fair amount of regulated violence and several spectacular finishes, including one in the main event to close out the night in style.  Needless to say, several of those fighters went home with $50,000 cheques.

Stephen Thompson produced arguably the best showing of his UFC career to date when he knocked out Jake Ellenberger in the opening round of their main event bout on Sunday. ‘Wonderboy' landed a spinning heel kick that knocked Ellenberger down, and then landed a second one shortly thereafter that signaled the beginning of the end for the Juggernaut.

In what was a far better performance than anything he produced during his time on the show, Kamaru Usman imposed his gameplan from the opening bell during the TUF 21 co-main event. While Haydar Hassan was a tough, durable opponent, he was unable to withstand Usman's strength and wrestling game and eventually tapped out to an arm-triangle submission.

Jorge Masvidal made his welterweight debut in style, as he earned a KO win against Cesar Mutante, He smelled blood midway through the opening round, dropped the Brazilian and swarmed on him until he separated him from his senses.

BloodyElbow's own Josh Samman earned one of the more impressive victories of the evening when he choked out Caio Magalhaes on the featured prelim of the evening. He moves to 3-0 in the UFC.
