It's been two months since Jon Jones' hit-and-run incident rocked the MMA world and prompted the UFC to strip the light-heavyweight champ of his title. 'Bones' faces felony charges for injuring a pregnant woman after slamming into her car in a rental vehicle and it's expected that the former title holder will be absent from the UFC for some time.
After Jones made an emotional, soul searching post on Twitter, the former champ vanished from the social media realm and hadn't been seen since April 29th. Perhaps the 27-year-old has found himself during his two month hiatus, as Jones can be seen pictured below in high spirits on Izzy Style Wrestling's Instagram account:
Jon Jones became the youngest ever UFC champion after demolishing Shogun Rua at UFC 128 in 2011. Since then, Bones' performances inside the Octagon continued to impress, but a landslide of controversial activities outside of the cage have deteriorated his public image.
The 27-year-old was charged with a DUI (driving under the influence) in 2012 after smashing his Bentley into a telephone pole in the early hours of the morning and also failed his UFC 182 drug test after testing positive for cocaine.
The former 205 lbs. kingpin now faces his most difficult dilemma after his alleged hit-and-run incident. As well as being stripped of the title, the UFC have also suspended Jones indefinitely and the troubled star could even face a prison sentence if the legalities don't swing in his favor.
