The fighters react to UFC 188: Velasquez vs. Werdum on Twitter

New, comments

All the best, worst, and most public statements from the UFC's own fighters as they live tweet UFC 188.

David Manning-USA TODAY Sports

Talk about your roller coaster fight nights. All at once disappointing, amazing, elating, and draining; a hell of a ride for fans watching at home. Fabricio Werdum proved himself the best heavyweight in the world (at least when fighting a mile and a half above sea level), Eddie Alvarez upset the applecart with a split decision over Gil Melendez, and Yair Rodriguez made a name for himself as a real future talent at 145 lbs. Of course, it wasn't just fans watching all the action at home. Fighters watch fights too.

Here's what the UFC's own talent had to say about all the night's fights while watching from around the world:

Gabriel Benitez vs. Clay Collard

Augusto Montano vs. Cathal Pendred

Johnny Case vs. Francisco Trevino

Alejandro Perez vs. Patrick Williams

Drew Dober vs. Efrain Escudero

Chico Camus vs. Henry Cejudo

Angela Hill vs. Tecia Torres

Yair Rodriguez vs. Charles Rosa

Kelvin Gastelum vs. Nate Marquardt

Eddie Alvarez vs. Gilbert Melendez

Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum
