Patricio Freire is glad he got a new foe for his title fight at Bellator 138. See, it's not that the champion is happy Georgi Karakhanyan injured himself and had to abandon the bout, but in Freire's eyes, Daniel Weichel always deserved the title shot in the first place.

"In my mind, Weichel was the one who deserved the title shot, so when the change came, I felt like the right thing was done" He told Portal do Vale Tudo. "Every fighter in my division can end up fighting me. I got a game plan for every single one of them, so it's not a problem".

Weichel, a german submission ace who has earned 21 victories by tapping his opponent out, is on a four-fight winning streak at Bellator. While "Pitbull" is aware of what Weichel is good at, he also pointed out the weaknesses "The Weasel" has shown.

"He knows how to pace the fight, he doesn't get exposed, he doesn't brawl, he hits and retreats fast, he doesn't like getting tagged.  His weakness is that the exposes his chin a little. He likes to taunt people and tell them to hit him in the chin. So I will go on a hunt for his chin. He exposes it too much and I will land".

Patricio Freire and Daniel Weichel are scheduled to fight at Bellator 138 for the bantamweight belt on June 19, in St. Louis.
