Floyd Mayweather is used to media attention, but that doesn't mean that he's a fan of the coverage he gets. He stepped into the ring tonight and defeated Manny Pacquiao by unanimous decision in front of what was probably the biggest PPV audience ever, but is still facing a lot of criticism for what many fans and media viewed as a "boring" performance. When he arrived at the post-fight press conference, he immediately went on the offense and said that he was staying away from all the negativity. Which isn't all that surprising.

But as the press conference wore on, he made a pretty big statement out of nowhere - that he thinks he's going to relinquish all of his titles. Scott Christ of Bad Left Hook tweeted his quotes from the presser:

Mayweather is the WBO, WBC, WBA welterweight champion, and the WBC Super, WBA, and Ring junior middleweight champion. That's a lot of belts to give up.

Floyd stated in his post-fight interview that he's looking to take the final fight on his Showtime contract in September, and that he will retire after that.
