Tyson & Malignaggi thoroughly underwhelmed by Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: 'We waited 5 years for that'

New, comments

More haters are coming out of the woodwork following Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao, and some of them just happen to be very prominent boxers.

It seems like the world is a little bit divided in the wake of Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather, not so much as to who won (although there seems to be some dissenting opinions over that too), but as to whether the fight was a great display of technical boxing and tactical awareness, or just kind of a sucky fight. That's not particularly surprising, as it's an old debate around Floyd Mayweather fights, but tonight there are some pretty prominent boxers and former boxers saying that they were anything but entertained.

We already highlighted Oscar De La Hoya turning his nose up at the bout, but Mike Tyson (who was in attendance) didn't have much love for it either:

While it may not have been an opinion on the overall fight itself, fellow welterweight Paul Malignaggi had some especially harsh criticism of Manny Pacquiao's performance:

We've now got reports that Pacquiao had a shoulder injury heading into the fight, but that shouldn't necessarily have effected his footwork, which was notably linear throughout the night.
