The UFC recently announced that Nate Diaz will be returning to welterweight against Matt Brown at UFC 189. If the Stockton native is to be believed though, things may not be set in stone just yet. Shortly after the news broke, the 29-year-old sent out the following message on twitter:
Nah I'm fighting Pettis

Possible snag in negotiations, or just Diaz being Diaz?
After a lengthy contract dispute that had him sit out for over a year, the 29-year-old returned against Rafael dos Anjos last December and lost a one-sided decision. Once on the top of the lightweight rankings, Diaz has now badly lost 3 of his last 4 bouts in the promotion.
UFC 189 will be headlined by two title fights, the much hyped featherweight tilt between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor, and the welterweight championship rematch between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald.
