Claudia Gadelha wants Jedrzejczyk rematch: 'I feel like I'm still undefeated'

Claudia Gadelha still wants to face Joanna Jedrzejczyk after her controversial split decision loss last december, but if that doesn't happen, she would also be pleased to fight Carla Esparza.

Claudia Gadelha lost a split decision to current strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk last December in a fight that awarded the Polish fighter her title shot. However, many believed the result was not fair and Gadelha should have been the one with her arm raised that night.

Claudia, onaturally, is a firm believer of that point of view, as well, and wants a rematch with the champion to prove she can beat Joanna.

"After everything that happened and such a such a controversial loss, I feel like I'm still undefeated. I know I didn't lose that fight", she told Dama de Ferro. "Most people who watched the fight know what I'm talking about, therefore, Joanna has to be my next challenge in order to clear things up".

Gadelha was scheduled to face Aisling Daly in Poland, but an injury removed her from the card. She will be cleared to train again in as soon as May and if she can't fight Joanna, she has already another target, Carla Esparza.

"If they don't want to give me Joanna now I would fight Carla Esparza.  Me and Carla are the only top 10 fighters who haven't fought recently. We also have some history after everything that went down at Invicta, so we must fight. But first I would like to face Joanna so we can know who is truly the best"
