UFC 186 took place in Montreal, Quebec in front of a modest crowd at the Bell Centre, and while the entire event was far from the most memorable to take place in that famed fight city, there were several notable moments and enthralling finishes to cap the night off.

The main event of the evening saw Demetrious Johnson dominate Kyoji Horiguchi en route to what many assumed would be a unanimous decision victory. However, the champion pounced late in the fight and secured a slick armbar that forced the Japanese challenger to tap in the final second of the fight. It was the latest stoppage in UFC history.

The opening fight on the main card saw Thomas Almeida produce another impressive performance to extend his undefeated record to 19-0. He put his striking skills on full display and eventually downed Yves Jabouin with a slew of well-placed shots to the head and body.

The Fight of the Night award was handed out to Canadian Chad Laprise and his opponent Bryan Barberena, who took part in an entertaining fight that satisfied the Montreal crowd in attendance. In the end, the local talent and TUF winner won the fight via a clear unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).
