On the day of the season 21 premiere of The Ultimate Fighter, we have our first confirmed bout for the reality show's July 12th season finale in Florida. Bloody Elbow has learned that TUF 17 middleweight semifinalist Josh Samman has been booked against Brazilian Caio Magalhaes. The UFC has not made the bout official but it is expected to be formally announced soon.

Samman (11-2) pulled off one of the best knockouts of 2014 when he flattened TUF 19 winner Eddie Gordon with a 2nd round head kick at UFC 181, in a fight he was otherwise losing. His previous UFC appearance ended in a 2nd round TKO win over fellow TUF 17 cast member Kevin Casey. Samman was actually due to fight Magalhaes at UFC on Fox 11 before he suffered a torn hamstring. In March of this year, Samman joined Bloody Elbow's team as a feature writer and has contributed a series of opinion pieces and exclusive interviews.

After a unanimous decision loss to Buddy Roberts in his debut, Magalhaes (9-1) has quietly rattled off four straight victories, with 3 of them coming by stoppage. His last outing ended in a 30 second mauling of Trevor Smith at UFC Fight Night in Uberlandia last November. The 27-year-old was scheduled to face Mark Munoz at UFC 184, but was forced to pull out after requiring dental surgery.

The TUF 21: ATT vs. Blackzilians Finale main card airs live on Fox Sports 1 from a TBD venue in the Sunshine State. Blackzilians lightweight Michael Johnson against Ben Henderson is the targeted main event, but the fight has yet to be finalized.
