Cub Swanson on Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: I don’t want to spend $100 to watch them fight

New, comments

UFC featherweight Cub Swanson discusses the highly anticipated boxing superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

While there is a slew of enthralling UFC fight cards over the next few weeks, including the UFC 187 PPV event in May, the boxing superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will undoubtedly overshadow the upcoming month of MMA events.

UFC on FOX 15's Cub Swanson understands why the Mayweather/Pacquiao match-up is the main attraction over the coming few weeks, but doesn't see it as a difficult match to predict.

"I think Mayweather will win," Swanson told Phoenix Carnevale. "The only way I see Pacquiao winning is if it is a close decision. That way I can see them try and make another (fight).

Given that Swanson is not overly excited about the upcoming boxing fight, he cannot find a reason to spend nearly $100 on a pay-per-view event.

"But I kinda don't want to spend $100 to watch them fight. I've kind of been against that and I'm not a fan of Mayweather's antics. I don't really feel like I want to contribute to his purses."
