On Friday, M-1 Global hosted their latest show in Moscow, which featured a much anticipated rematch between middleweight Vyacheslav Vasilevsky and Ramazan Emeev. The two took part in a thrilling battle last year that resulted in ‘Slava' Vasilevsky usurping the title from his Dagestani opponent.
However, the rematch turned out to be far shorter than their original meeting, as Emeev landed a thunderous overhand right that sent Slava tumbling to that canvas, where he was choked out less than two minutes into the fight.
The card also featured featherweight champ Ivan Buchinger, who was unable to defend his title after original opponent Tural Ragimov was forced off the card with Bronchitis. Instead, the Slovakian faced Aliyar Sarkerov in a non-title bout, which he finished in the second round when he forced his opponent to submit to strikes.
Fans in attendance also witnessed the debut of M-1 Medieval.
