Hopefully, the third time will be the charm for UFC bantamweight champion,T.J. Dillashaw, and contender Renan Barão to get their rematch. The two men were originally scheduled to fight back in August of 2014, but a last minute weight cutting problem derailed Barao's bid to regain his title. With the rematch approaching , an injury to T.J. Dillashaw scrapped the bout again this week. And, the challenger is not a bit pleased with how things turned out.
Right after T.J.'s rib injury came to surface and the fight had to be called off, Barão took to Instagram to write his thoughts on the whole matter.
Here's what he had to say:
"Guys, like most of you should know, my opponent, T.J. Dillashaw, is hurt and we won't be fighting on the 25th anymore. It's a shame, because I was preparing myself the best way I could for this fight. So now I only have one thing to say. Dillashaw, you can run, but you can't hide. Your time will come and you'll have to back up all the stuff you ‘ve been saying you would do or I will make you swallow those words. I'll be waiting".
T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barão were supposed to face each other at UFC 186 on April 25th. With the fight cancelled, the card will now be headlined by flyweights Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi.
