A surprisingly solid night of action is in the books for the UFC. We saw a ton of finishes, a bevy of submissions, some brutal KOs, and enough controversy to fill a dump truck. Demian Maia's BJJ was on full display, grinding out a decision win over Ryan LaFlare, despite a late point deduction. Erick Silva put a whooping on Josh Koscheck, and Amanda Nunes did bad bad things to Shayna Baszler.
By far, the biggest story of the night was Eduardo Herdy's submission call in the Leandro Silva vs. Drew Dober fight. Having blown an earlier submission, it looks like Herdy was really gunshy not to let this one go too long and declared Dober choked out, long before he stopped fighting.
