Amanda Nunes: 'Shayna only has one good move and I will counter it'

Female bantamweight contender Amanda Nunes is not scared of what her opponent, Shayna Baszler, has to offer. The Brazilian feels like there's only thing Baszler can do to put her in danger, but guaranteed she is well prepared for it. "The Lioness" preferred to keep that as a surprise, though.

Amanda Nunes is looking for redemption. And she wants do it in style.

After getting knocked out by Cat Zingano in September and losing her title shot, the Brazilian wants to make an example out of her opponent Shayna Baszler on Saturday night. Preferably, inside the distance.

"If she gives me a chance, I will knock her out for sure. If the fight hits the ground, I will also be prepared. I'm a Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt and I promise I will finish her either way", said Nunes to Portal do Vale Tudo.

Baszler, a training partner of Ronda Rousey who was knocked out by Bethe Correia in her last showing, doesn't scare Nunes. In fact, "The Lioness" stated there's only one threatening move in Shayna's whole arsenal, and she guaranteed she is ready to counter it.

"I will try to explore the stand up, but if she grapples me, it's all good. Her jiu-jitsu is not so strong. She does have one good move, though, her heel hook from half guard, but I've trained a lot how to escape and counter that, which is a surprise, but it'll work".

Amanda Nunes and Shayna Baszler will face each other on the main card of UFC Fight Night 62, headlined by Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare in Rio.
