Ronda Rousey's dominance, coupled with recent statements from UFC figureheads like Joe Rogan and Bruce Buffer saying that the women's bantamweight champ would beat most of his male counterparts, suddenly started this weird 'battle of the sexes' debate.

Mark Munoz is in Manila to promote his retirement bout against Luke Barnatt, and he has weighed in on the matter. The 'Filipino Wrecking Machine' told ABS-CBN Sports that facing men is just completely different:

"Someone in the UFC said that Ronda can beat 50% of the men, but it's totally different man," Munoz explained during a live chat with ABS-CBN Sports. "It's totally different. It's hard to say, and you can speculate all you want. She can definitely compete, but I don't know if it's true."

"She is truly unbelievable though. She's great and she's an amazing person," he said.

"She can definitely match them technique per technique (in grappling)," Munoz said about Rousey's chances. "I definitely believe she can compete with them, but it's too hard to speculate if she can actually beat (most of the men) in MMA."

... Munoz also suggested that Ronda should workout with more male fighters seeing that she's head and shoulders ahead of most females in the sport.

"It's going to be good for her to train with guys because no women will be able to match their strengths."

For some reason, there are people who seem to have this desire of seeing how the champ's skills would translate against a man. We definitely won't be seeing Rousey compete against a man inside the Octagon, but if they really wanted to see this happen, maybe Metamoris can pay her enough to grapple Bryan Caraway.

She has a pretty hefty price tag though, so good luck with that.
