Injury to Mike Richman cancels Bellator 135 co-main event vs. Eduardo Dantas

An injury to bantamweight contender Mike Richman has temporarily put off his Bellator bout against former champion Eduardo Dantas.

Bellator 135 was supposed to be a night centered around four of the roster's best bantamweights. The main event of the March 27th show in Thackerville, Oklahoma is a championship bout between reigning champion Joe Warren and challenger Marcos Galvao, with the co-main due to be Mike Richman against the recently dethroned Eduardo Dantas. In an official press release sent by the promotion, Richman vs. Dantas has been delayed due to an injury to Richman.

Richman (18-5) is 2-0 since his decision to drop to bantamweight last year, and he's recorded 1st round (T)KO wins over Ed West and Nam Phan. Dantas (16-4) won the Bellator title back in 2012 when he submitted Zach Makovsky, and after a shock KO loss outside of the promotion against Tyson Nam, the Brazilian successfully defended his belt against Galvao and Anthony Leone. "Dudu" lost the belt to Warren in October by unanimous decision.

With news of Richman/Dantas being moved to a later date, a preliminary card match-up between L.C. Davis and Hideo Tokoro has been elevated to the new co-main. The rest of the main card features ex-UFC middleweight Francis Carmont against Guilherme Viana, as well as Ryan Couture versus Dakota Cochrane.
