Alan Jouban was a bit salty about a shady decision that went against him in his last bout in Brazil. Tonight at UFC 184, he didn't let it go to the judges, picking up a first-round victory via knockout over Richard Walsh in their welterweight bout.
Walsh came out hard, backing Jouban up with some hard body kicks. Jouban was firing back with his hands, but neither man was getting the best of the other after a couple of minutes. But then it all changed. Jouban backed Walsh against the cage and blasted him with a standing elbow to the side of the head. T
The shot put Walsh on dream street, but he stayed on his feet until another shot landed.
He went down, but popped back up right away. John McCarthy had seen enough though, so he jumped in an brought an end to the bout even though Walsh was back on his feet. It seemed like a quick stoppage at first, but after seeing the replay it was a good decision by McCarthy. Certainly better than his work earlier in the evening.
With the win, Jouban (11-3) moves to 2-1 in the UFC. Walsh (8-3) dropped to 1-2 in the promotion.
