This past Friday, Lion Fight staged their latest event. Lion Fight 20 was an exciting night of fights and an example of why Muay Thai is both beautiful and violent.

In the night's main event, Lion Fight Women's Welterweight champion Jorina Baars successfully defended her title, stopping Chantal Ughi at the end of the 3rd round. This was the first title defense for Baars since winning the belt from Cris Cyborg last year, and she made the defense in style. Baars pulverized the legs of Ughi, battering her with leg kicks until she could not answer the bell for the 4th round. Very impressive performance from Baars.

The undercard was marked by big KOs, with a number of fights ending spectacularly. KO of the night is a tough call. Gaston Bolanos stopped Caleb Archer in the 3rd round with a beautiful spinning back elbow while Archer was trapped in the corner - a gorgeous example of Muay Thai technique. But for pure brutality, it's hard to top the opening fight, where Julio Pena KO'd Tom Evans in just 90 seconds via perfectly landed KO punch. Evans was badly out after this and required medical attention in the ring before the show could continue. Really brutal KO here.
