Luke Rockhold on Mayweather-Pacquiao negotiations: Shut up about the f***ing money

New, 7 comments

UFC middleweight contender Luke Rockhold advises Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather to stop worrying about money and to set up the superfight.

While Luke Rockhold is focused on his upcoming main event against Lyoto Machida at the next UFC on FOX event, he expressed bitter disappointment when asked about the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao negotiations.

The top middleweight is concerned that the two boxing icons are far more interested in deepening their pockets rather than setting up this fight for the fans. Given that they will each likely earn an incredible payday no matter the negotiations, Rockhold had one suggestion for the boxers.

"These guys are making $50-100 million, and will probably make over $100 million each for this fight. Shut up about the f***ing money and let's see the f***ing fight already."

While the fight is closer to fruition than ever before, many continue to hold their breath. It is a fight that has been discussed for the better part of the last six years, yet it appears that the two fighters have finally agreed on a price for the megafight.

"I'm hoping it happens. It's a fight that I've wanted to see forever, and I'm tired about all the bickering back and forth about money. Mayweather needs to keep his legend intact. I think this is going to be hurting him, sitting over his head if he doesn't take this fight. Pacquiao deserves to have this fight. Its been meaning to happen for a long time.

"Bob Arum, come on man."
