UFC 186 in Montreal is going to get a trilogy bout, and it'll be between two Canadians. Alexis Davis will look to get her first win over the lady directly below her in the current UFC rnakings, Sarah Kaufman. The bout was announced by UFC officials last night.
Kaufman (17-2, 1 NC, 1-0, 1 NC UFC) hasn't competed since she picked up a unanimous decision win over Leslie Smith last April. Her first bout in the UFC was a narrow loss to Jessica Eye, but the bout was flipped to a No Contest when Eye tested positive for marijuana.
Davis (16-6, 3-1 UFC) is coming off a rough 16-second loss to UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in her last bout. She had three straight victories to start her UFC career before that.
The two ladies have met twice before - once in 2007 (Davis' MMA debut) and in Strikeforce in 2012. Kaufman won both of those bouts.
UFC 186 will be headlined by two title bouts, with T.J. Dillashaw defending his bantamweight title against former champ Renan Barao, while Demetrious Johnson will defend his flyweight title against Kyoji Horiguchi.
