If all the right stars align, it looks like we could have a charity superfight on our hands. Member of the recent Super Bowl XLIX winning New England Patriots, and younger brother to UFC the light heavyweight champion, Chandler Jones recently told TMZ Sports that he'd love to take a shot at putting a beating on his brother Jon, for charity. All three brothers, Chandler, Jon, and Arthur have gone on the record about their history of fighting one another, most of which seems to have been pretty hierarchical, with Arthur winning against Jon and Jon winning against Chandler. But, it sounds like Chandler is looking to re-write history and get a little of his own back for years of being the youngest of the three.
"Me and my brother used to fight all the time when we were young ... and I'm pretty sure I can take him down now. I am way bigger than he is," Chandler tells us.
"It will be fun if we actually did a one-round match for charity ... that would be fun. If I win, he would have to donate to the charity of my choice and vice versa."
"I would just throw him to the ground."
Unfortunately, there could be at least one major hitch in the plan, Chandler's contract with the Patriots. As he said "I don't know how my coach would feel about it. I don't think it would fly." Hopefully he at least looks into it, even if it doesn't get off the ground, because an exhibition bout between the two would be pretty remarkable.
