Looks like Miesha Tate really is one tough cupcake. Sara McMann had her in all sorts of trouble early on their UFC 183 bout, until she rallied to out-wrestle the Olympian en-route to a decision. The feat was already impressive on its own, but according to Tate, she also had to comeback after sustaining a broken orbital bone.

From her instagram account:

"I won!!! I am so excited to be heading to the Superbowl with a win!! Unfortunately I broke my orbital bone in 2 sports early on in the fight, I couldn't see clearly out of my eye for rounds 2 & 3, I had to dig deep. Sara Mcmann is an amazing competitor, a tough fight for anyone!"

Tate also addressed this during the post-fight press conference.

"I have a really bad headache right now," Tate said with her hand cupped over her eyes. "She clipped me pretty good in the first round and actually broke my orbital bone in two spots, so I can't look down and this bright light over here is not very comfortable to say the least. I know it doesn't look that bad, but it feels pretty crappy."

Miesha says she was told that it would take about 4 to 6 weeks to recover from the injury.
