Tweets of the Day: Holm draws huge crowd on return to Albuquerque

New, comments

Albuquerque turned out in droves for the new UFC women's bantamweight champion's "HolmComing".

Matt Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

Albuquerque is a fight town, and if you didn't know it before, today's event in the city cemented the point. The New Mexico home of JacksonWink MMA organized a "Holm-coming" for new UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm, and the turn out was pretty impressive. The ABQ City Council offered up some tweets showing the event, and the UFC jumped in with their own as well:

Holm (10-0, 3-0 UFC) was born and raised in Albuquerque. She defeated Ronda Rousey by knockout at UFC 193 to claim the title. It is expected that the two will rematch some time in 2016.
