Rizin Fighting Federation Day 1 results: Aoki TKOs Sakuraba to cap entertaining show

On Dec. 29 and 31, Japanese upstart promotion Rizin Fighting Federation will hold their inaugural shows at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Tokyo.

Today, Rizin's debut show will feature the opening round of the World Grand Prix tournament, as well as a catchweight bout between Kazushi Sakuraba and Shinya Aoki.

The event is scheduled to begin at 1am ET. However, Spike TV, which holds exclusive rights to the North America broadcast, will show a variation of the event on Thursday morning at 10 am ET on tape delay.
