Nik Lentz says B.J. Penn's 'retired ass' should just stay at home

"His retired ass can just stay at home unless he wants to actually come in here," Nik Lentz said of B.J. Penn after his win over Danny Castillo at UFC on Fox 17.

After three years, Nik Lentz decided to return to the lightweight division after a series of brutal weight cuts and mixed performances at 145 lbs.

The 31-year-old put the pressure on Danny Castillo to secure his first win at LW since 2012 at UFC on Fox: dos Anjos vs. Cerrone 2 last night. After the bout, Lentz took it to former lightweight champion B.J. Penn in the post-fight media scrum.

Lentz welcomed Penn back to the Octagon but advised the Hall of Famer to stay retired.

"If B.J. Penn ever wants some, he knows where to find me: in the cage," Lentz said. "His retired ass can just stay at home unless he wants to actually come in here."

Things got heated between Lentz and Penn when the Hawaiian called him out in October. The NCAA Division I wrestler returned fire with a poem mocking B.J., and referred to the two-time champion as a "spoiled little rich kid".

Penn retired from mixed martial arts after losing three-straight to Nick Diaz, Rory MacDonald and Frankie Edgar. The 37-year-old made history by becoming a two-time world champion, beating legendary welterweight Matt Hughes for the 170 lbs. title at UFC 46, and butchering Joe Stevenson for the 155 lbs. title at UFC 80.
