In the aftermath of UFC 194, which saw Conor McGregor and Luke Rockhold become new champions, fans asked former UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones about his thoughts on Saturday night's main and co-main events. One answer that did stand out was his expectation of an immediate rematch between McGregor and Aldo.
Felt like Chris was outmatched, expecting to see MacGregor vs Aldo 2 https://t.co/hOZZcBS1YS

That's not really been discussed by the UFC, who are angling for McGregor to either fight Frankie Edgar at 145 or face the Rafael dos Anjos vs. Donald Cerrone winner at 155. As far as Jones' reasoning for a rematch? Ronda Rousey is getting one vs. Holly Holm despite a KO loss at UFC 193.
If Rousey is granted an immediate rematch I would expect the same treatment for Aldo. It only seems right https://t.co/taoqVItasU

Speaking of rematches, Jones will seek to get back the LHW belt against Daniel Cormier at a UFC event TBD in 2016. Jones, of course, defeated Cormier in January but later lost the title following a hit-and-run collision in April, and Cormier won the vacant belt in May.
