It's one of those stories that gets swallowed up in all the other things surrounding Ronda Rousey's celebrity. Especially over the past couple months when, since a fresh faced Jarrod Haschert asked Rousey to the Marine Corps Ball, Rousey has been announced to star in a remake of Road House, became the first female athlete to guest host ESPN's Sportscenter, went public with her relationship with Travis Browne, and lost for the first time in her pro-MMA career. In all that circus, the promise to go to a dance with some eager young guy she's never met kind of gets lost.
But, it hasn't been lost on Rousey who, sources confirm, still plans on attending the event with Haschert. The Los Angeles Daily News got the scoop on Rousey's social plans:
"After her fight, she knew she had made a promise to this young man and never thought for a second about breaking it," the source said. "She paid her own way and did exactly what she said she was going to do because that's the type of woman she is."
The Marine Corps Ball takes place December 11th. Stay tuned as I expect that we'll see a few updates on the event and her appearance there, including whether or not Haschert was able to get dates for all Rousey's friends.
