The UFC returned to Sao Paulo for their latest event following a short bi-week break. The event featured the spirited action expected on the Brazilian fight cards, which included several slick submissions, as well as vicious knockouts. In the end, there were several fighters who warranted a performance bonus for their efforts.

Vitor Belfort closed out the evening's fights with a case of déjà vu when he knocked out Dan Henderson for the second time in as many years with a head kick and barrage of strikes thereafter. It was an emphatic win for the Brazilian legend on home soil and allows him to remain a relevant competitor on the UFC roster.

Thomas Almeida managed to secure his fourth consecutive post-fight bonus in as many fights, which is a phenomenal accomplishment in itself. Almeida landed a spinning elbow and a vicious right hook to crumple Anthony Birchak and send him tumbling to the canvas.

Alex Oliveira would have had the best knockout of the night had he not being followed by Almeida. In a tough battle, he managed to stop Piotr Hallmann in the final round to secure another big victory.

Thiago Tavares needed less than a minute to expel Clay Guida in their preliminary bout. He immediately recovered from a slam takedown and won the fight via guillotine choke.
