The main event of UFC Sao Paulo featured two Middleweight fighters who will go down as legends in the sport: Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson. Despite their age, both fighters were looking to make a statement on Saturday night that they still belong in sport. There was also the added bragging rights as the winner of the fight would end the trilogy with two wins over the other.
Henderson started with a couple of solid leg kicks while each fighter looked to gauge the range. Neither fighter threw a single punch in the first two minutes of the fight as both circled the octagon, looking for an opening. Vitor Belfort threw his first strike, a head kick, that landed right on Henderson's face. Belfort followed up with a huge series of punches in bunches. Henderson went down, with Belfort swarming on him. Belfort landed a big punch while on top of Henderson that seemed to shut the lights off for a moment, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight.

With the win, Belfort gets on the winning track after a loss to Chris Weidman in May when challenging for the UFC Middleweight Championship. For Henderson, the loss is his third in the past four fights.
