Floyd Mayweather thanks Holly Holm for calling him 'the greatest of all time'

Floyd Mayweather was called boxing's greatest of all-time by UFC women's bantamweight champ Holly Holm, which Mayweather duly acknowledged on Twitter.

Holly Holm is making the rounds on the media circuit after she knocked out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. She's also been spotlighted at high-profile sporting events, including Thursday's NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers, and Saturday night's boxing PPV headlined by Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez.

In an interview with FightHype on Saturday, Holm was asked about her experience meeting retired (or so he says) boxing star Floyd Mayweather, who was also courtside with her at Staples Center last week.

"Oh it was awesome," Holm said. "Just to be able to meet one of the greatest, I mean, the greatest of all time, you know? He's the only one that's ever been able to do it undefeated."

I'm pretty sure "he's the only one that's ever been able to do it undefeated" is not correct, but lemme let the Coming to America barbershop group tell you about Rocky Marciano.

Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) last fought in September, beating Andre Berto by unanimous decision. Of course, his much bigger fight was the super showdown with Manny Pacquiao in May, which he also took by unanimous decision. Floyd has since responded to Holm's "GOAT" remarks on Twitter, thanking and congratulating her on her accomplishments.

Last week, Mayweather came to the defense of Rousey, who was subject to heavy criticism and ridicule on social media in the days following her KO loss, and even offered to help her improve her boxing.

This is all fine and dandy, but everyone surely wants to know if Holm can beat Mayweather both in MMA and boxing.
